Since 2012 Erased Tapes peers Ólafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm have spent many hours together in their studios across Berlin and Reykjavik, freely improvising and occasionally capturing the music for their fans. This collaboration culminated in a series of releases during the last years ranging from intimate dual piano pieces to electro-acoustic compositions.
With 18 tracks spanning over 100 minutes, Collaborative Works is not meant to work as one congruent album. It makes no attempt to link the separate works, instead giving each EP its own space in the tracklist.
Following up on our design partnership with Nils and our work for Kiasmos, Ólafur’s Icelandic experimental techno duo, FELD developed a series of billboards, giveaways, as well as the artists collaboration website among all music artworks that have been released so far.
